8 Reasons to have a responsive web site

Why Every Recruiter Needs a Responsive Site

We recently published a post about PhysEmp’s new, responsive design, and if you haven’t read it yet, it’s well worth your time. The article explains what responsive site design is and why it’s so important to you as a physician recruiter. But if you need a little more convincing, we have some terrific (and fun!) resources for you below.

Here’s a great infographic on the topic from marketpath.com. It’s a wonderful, visual depiction of just how much mobile usage has soared in recent years, and why you need responsive design to get in front of those users.

#1 Mobile usage is on the Rise

#2 Shopping on Mobile Devices is Steadily Growing#3 Social Media Increases Mobile Visitors

#4 RESPONSIVE SITES IMPROVE SEO RANKINGS

#5 RESPONSIVE DESIGNS ADAPT TO MULTIPLE DEVICE SIZES

#6 ONE SITE IS EASIER TO MANAGE AND INCREASES ROI

#7 RESPONSIVE SITES PROVIDE A BETTER USER EXPERIENCE

#8 A BETTER BATHROOM EXPERIENCE

That last one is a bit gross (and funny), but it’s actually a point well worth considering for physician recruiters. Doctors are constantly running from place to place, and the bathroom may well be where they have time to answer emails or view your website. You want to ensure your site doesn’t crap out, so to speak.

On another note, the following video from Friendly Design offers a wonderfully accessible explanation about the importance of responsive sites. It’s a different presentation than our earlier blog post, or the infographic above, but it drives home the same point: if you’re in business, you need a mobile-friendly site. Not just for the benefit of your users, we might add, but because Google actually penalizes non-responsive sites, bringing you less traffic.

Thanks for your interest, Richard. The RecruiterRx blog is powered by PhysEmp—a company that helps physician recruiters connect with physicians. We have a great responsive site, but we’re not web designers. A quick Google search on Responsive Design should help you find a number of companies that specialize in mobile-friendly sites and who can give you a review with quotes. We used http://myriadmobile.com/ for our site. But there are many others, so click around until you find one that resonates with you. Best of luck!
